Overview of the role
We are looking for a Pharmacist Manager to lead the Pharmacy team and to make a real difference at our pharmacy based in Alnwick - Infirmary Close HC.
The Pharmacy:
Alnwick is a beautiful historic market town in the heart of Northumberland and has quickly become one of the country’s top tourist destinations. Our Pharmacy based here has a fantastic opportunity for you to come and make a difference.
This is a very busy community pharmacy which currently lacks the stability it needs; the branch delivers on average 11k items per month. The pharmacy is in the grounds of Alnwick Infirmary and next to a GP Surgery. The surgery has a patient base of 19.000, issuing on average 45,000 items per month.
This is a very busy fast paced pharmacy. As well as dispensing day to day items, the pharmacy also dispenses MDS trays, supports instalment patients and services a local care home, as well as delivering a range of NHS and private services.
Parking bays are available in the grounds.
You will be supported in your role by an Area Operations Manager and a Regional Operations Manager, with regular structured pharmacy visits.
The Team:
The pharmacy has a varied skill base which is currently made up of 4 permanent colleagues. The team within this branch are highly motivated individuals with a great work ethic, who are keen on delivering company initiatives and driving performance through KPI’s.
The Ideal Candidate
The successful candidate must possess an MPharm degree or equivalent and management experience is required for this opportunity.
You'll be focussed on leading your team to deliver the best community pharmacy experience for your patients and customers.
You'll be required to have your GPhC registration upon your start date.
