Overview of the role

Our Talke Pharmacy has a fantastic opportunity for you to come and make a difference.

A retail centred pharmacy, which delivers on average 3.5k items per month. The pharmacy is located within Affinity Staffordshire Outlet shopping centre which attracts customers from across Staffordshire and beyond. 

The pharmacy has a varied skill base which is made up of four NVQ2 qualified pharmacy assistants, with a range of contract sizes from 6.5 hours to 30 hours per week. The team within this branch are highly motivated individuals with a great work ethic, who are keen on delivering company initiatives and growing the branch through realising opportunity within the local market.

As well as dispensing day to day items, the pharmacy also delivers a wide range of NHS and private services.  Including, but not limited to, NMS, Advanced Hypertension, EHC, Minor Ailments, CPCS, GPCPCS, Flu, Pneumonia and Chicken Pox vaccines. There are currently no substance misuse patients and no Care Homes serviced from this pharmacy. 

The pharmacy has an expansive shop floor, which provides an attractive, large retail offering including fragrance cabinets, branded makeup ranges, luxury gift sets and more!  Benefiting from a high footfall this provides a huge opportunity to drive revenue and lead a successful all-round pharmacy experience. 

The branch is open Monday to Friday 10am-6pm and Saturdays 10am-5pm and we are open to discussing contractual hours ranging from 39 hours – 47 hours p/w. The successful candidate will ideally work every other Saturday. 

You will be supported in your role by an Area Operations Manager headed by a Regional Operations Manager, with regular structured pharmacy visits.

The Ideal Candidate

The successful candidate must possess an MPharm degree or equivalent and management experience is required for this opportunity.

You'll be focussed on leading your team to deliver the best community pharmacy experience for your patients and customers.

You'll be required to have your GPhC registration upon your start date.

You’ll be supported in your role by an Area Operations Manager and a Regional Operations Manager, with regular structured pharmacy visits

We have invested in new technologies for our pharmacies including a new PMR system and centralised dispensing to allow you to focus on providing quality care and services to our customers.

We are focussed on mental health and wellbeing which is why we’ve put all our field managers through the Mental Health Awareness course to raise awareness and enable a greater level of support when working in our pharmacies.
