Overview of the role

We are looking for an experienced Pharmacist Manager to lead the team and make a difference at our pharmacy in Elms Square Precinct in Whitefield.

This community pharmacy is commutable from All locations in Greater Manchester and is located in a shopping Precinct. It has a strong relationship with the local GP surgery/health centre.

Working in this pharmacy will provide a pharmacist with an opportunity to be a part of this community, engage with patients daily and contribute to the local services.

Whitefield features a range of local amenities, including shops, cafes, restaurants, and supermarkets.

It is well-connected to Manchester city center and surrounding areas via public transport. The Metrolink tram service provides convenient access, making it easy for people to commute.

The patient base in this pharmacy is very diverse which ensures we meet the needs of the community and provide personalised care and services.  The patients at this pharmacy are all very welcoming and understanding.

How our pharmacy makes a difference:

  • It dispenses 2,440 - 2,500 items a week,
  • It provides a wide range of services including NMS, Blood pressure, Pharmacy First, Discharge medication, Covid and Flu vaccinations and Contraception .
  • It provides services to 3x daily and 6x weekly substance misuse patients
  • It dispenses 50 community blisters per month.

This pharmacy is open Monday-Friday 9-6pm and Saturday 9-1pm.

The team consists of 5 members of staff who work a combined of 128 hours. There is one member of staff who is a trainee who is estimated to complete by June next year. 

The Ideal Candidate

The successful candidate must possess an MPharm degree or equivalent and management experience is required for this opportunity.

You'll be focussed on leading your team to deliver the best community pharmacy experience for your patients and customers.

You'll be required to have your GPhC registration upon your start date.

You’ll be supported in your role by an Area Operations Manager and a Regional Operations Manager, with regular structured pharmacy visits

We have invested in new technologies for our pharmacies including a new PMR system and centralised dispensing to allow you to focus on providing quality care and services to our customers.

We are focussed on mental health and wellbeing which is why we’ve put all our field managers through the Mental Health Awareness course to raise awareness and enable a greater level of support when working in our pharmacies.
