Quality Controller - Specials

Overview of the role

To ensure that high-quality unlicensed specials products are manufactured and released in compliance with GMP standards, regulatory requirements, and internal quality systems.

Main Responsibility

  • Formulates and recommends manufacturing policies, procedures and programs that enhance overall effectiveness of the operating unit.
  • Ensures efficient use of human resources, by regularly monitoring work activities, setting performance expectations, and measuring results, and providing feedback to employees daily.
  • Maintains focus on high safety performance, high quality performance, and high productivity performance.
  • Ensures equipment is ready for use before processing or cleaned or calibrated.  Emphasis on efficient use and scheduling of shared use equipment.
  • Assists in troubleshooting and problem-solving when process or personnel issues arise; ensures timely resolution.
  • Release unlicensed specials products for sale to customers.
  • Ensure strict compliance GMP regulations
  • Work with quality team on all relevant matters.
  • Ensure staff receive initial continued training on required SOPS.
  • Assist with complaints.      

       

The Ideal Candidate

  • Minimum 2 years’ GMP manufacturing experience.

  • Experience within a Specials or pharmaceutical environment (preferred).

  • High attention to detail and strong organisational skills.

  • Ability to work effectively as part of a small, close-knit team.
