Supply Chain Analyst

Overview of the role

Responsible for ensuring the accurate management of stock in both HSC (warehouse) and in Branch, including product forecasting and ordering, depot replenishment and on-shelf availability. Utilising inventory analysis tools to best manage stock levels.

We offer hybrid working with three days in the office and two days working from home each week.

Main Responsibility

  • Responsible for managing category stock levels and raising daily purchase orders to ensure that service levels are achieved and that the stores can be replenished.
  • Establish quality relationships with major suppliers, driving continuous improvement in service levels and resolving non-conformances. Provide collaborative forecasts to drive better on-shelf availability for our customers.
  • Work closely with the buying and space planning team to understand category strategies, providing live promotional tracking and analysis, ensuring full product availability and avoiding over stocks.
  • Analyse, communicate and escalate product availability issues accordingly to resolve quickly and to minimise sales loss.
  • Interact effectively with the warehousing teams to prioritise intake at Goods In, resolve supplier discrepancies and assist with general stock queries.
  • Challenge, plan and support range reviews, deliver with 100% availability and provide a clear stock exit of all de-ranged lines.
  • Provide weekly reporting and analysis on KPIs and respond to data requests from other teams in an accurate and timely manner.
  • Make recommendations on supply route to drive business efficiencies and ensuring KPIs are met.
  • Work closely with the wholesale team to manage stock effectively, driving availability and sales.
  • To assist the Senior Supply Chain Analyst and other team members as and when required.

Knowledge skills & experience :

  • Highly analytical with the ability to interpret data and to take action.
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills
  • Ability to multi-task and to prioritise in an ever-changing environment
  • Intermediate Excel skills, applied use of Power BI is helpful.
