A Team Co-ordinator role with a difference!
Working in a warehouse environment our digital pharmacy team are based within our state of the art distribution Healthcare Services Centre in Stoke. Our Digital Team Co-ordinator is a non-customer facing role within the pharmacy and perfect for candidates who prefer to work behind the scenes and focus on specialised tasks that support our patients and customers.
What you’ll do…
As our Team Co-ordinator, you’ll be focussed on ensuring the pharmacy team carry out day to day activities required in the Digital Pharmacy.
From delivery of tasks in line with agreed levels of performance through to compliance with standard operating procedures and health & safety legislation, you’ll work closely with Digital Pharmacy management team supporting team co-ordination management duties whilst continuing to carry out operative duties when required.
Ultimately, you’ll be working closely as a team assisting pharmacists and supporting your colleagues in processing patient and customer orders, handling enquiries, and providing excellent patient care & customer service.

Our digital pharmacy has the second largest number of patients in the UK nominated to a single pharmacy, distributing circa 130,000 items every month currently and this is growing!

Main Responsibility
- Operational Coordination:
- Oversee daily operations to ensure efficient workflow and timely delivery of pharmaceutical products.
- Coordinate with pharmacists, pharmacy technicians, and other team members to streamline processes and enhance productivity.
- Team Management:
- Schedule and manage team shifts, ensuring adequate staffing levels to meet operational demands.
- Provide leadership and support to team members, fostering a collaborative and positive work environment.
- Quality Control:
- Implement and maintain quality control measures to ensure compliance with standards and regulations.
- Monitor and review operational performance metrics, identifying areas for improvement and implementing corrective actions.
- Process Improvement:
- Identify opportunities for process optimisation and contribute to the development and implementation of operational improvements.
- Collaborate with the shift manager to develop and execute strategic initiatives aimed at enhancing operational efficiency.
- Documentation and Reporting:
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of operational activities, inventory levels, and team performance.
- Prepare and submit regular reports to the shift Manager, highlighting key metrics and operational insights.
- Ensure compliance with all regulatory and company documentation requirements.
The Ideal Candidate
- The ability to assist the Supervisor’s plan up to a week ahead operationally
- Ability to assist all Charge Hands/Supervisors in undertaking short-term projects.
- The ability and skills to work within a team environment to achieve business goals as well as recognise and appreciate contribution from all team members.
- Previous experience in a pharmacy or healthcare setting is desirable but not essential
- Be prepared to complete an NVQ2 in Pharmacy Services or equivalent qualification.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Excellent customer service skills with a friendly and professional demeanour.
- Great team working skills as you’ll be working in a warehouse/non-customer facing environment.
- Ability to work independently in a remote environment.
- Attention to detail is essential and accuracy in order processing.
- Familiarity with pharmacy software and online platforms is an advantage but we can train you.
