Overview of the role

We are looking for an experienced Pharmacist to join the team and make a difference at our pharmacy in Chester.

This pharmacy is located within a GP surgery in the city centre. As it is close to student accommodation, many of its patients are students. This pharmacy is growing month on month. It is in the heart of Chester so has so much opportunity with services and items.

It has a large staff room and spacious consultation room. There is a multistory car park on site and all public transport is close by.

How our pharmacy makes a difference:

  • It dispenses around 13,000 items per month, including many emergency prescriptions,
  • Its main business is PCS and walk-ins,
  • It provides a wide range of services including NHS services and ear syringing
  • The pharmacy has a Methameasure for the substance misuse patients who have a separate entrance around the back.
  • It dispenses around 20 community blisters per week.

This pharmacy is open 8am until 6:30pm, Monday to Friday, Saturdays 8am - 9pm and Sundays 10am- 9pm. The dynamic team at this pharmacy is comprised of eight pharmacy colleagues.

The successful candidate will be responsible for working Saturday & Sunday weekend shifts

The Ideal Candidate

The successful candidate must possess an MPharm degree or equivalent and management experience is desired but not essential. You will be required to have your GPhC registration upon your start date.

Package Description

On top of your salary, we also offer:

  • Support for you to complete your Independent Prescribing (IP) qualification,
  • Up to 15% of your annual salary, in bonuses, based on performance and delivery,

You’ll be supported in your role by an Area Operations Manager and a Regional Operations Manager, with regular structured pharmacy visits.

We have invested in new technologies for our pharmacies, including a new PMR system and centralised dispensing, to allow you to focus on providing quality care and services to our patients and customers.
