Overview of the role
About the Role:
We are seeking an experienced and proactive Employment Relations Advisor to provide expert guidance and support on all aspects of employment relations. In this role, you’ll be the go-to resource for managers, offering advice that balances employment law, internal policies, commercial considerations, and risk. You’ll play a key role in managing cases from start to finish, ensuring timely resolution and maintaining strong compliance with legal and organisational standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide expert ER advice via phone and email, escalating complex cases to the People Partner as needed.
Support managers administratively with hearings, meeting packs, outcome letters, and policy guidance.
Manage and resolve ER cases efficiently, meeting SLAs and KPIs.
Maintain accurate records in the Case Management System and ensure policies are up to date.
Track and report on employee absences, holding managers accountable.
Source and coordinate appropriate HR support for complex cases.
Serve as a one-stop solution for key stakeholders, offering guidance and direction on ER matters.
Stay up to date with employment law and best practices, ensuring advice and policies reflect changes.
What We’re Looking For:
Proven experience as an HR Advisor or similar role with ER casework responsibility.
Strong knowledge of employment law and policy implementation.
Ability to assess ER cases quickly, identify risk, and provide clear guidance.
Excellent communication, organisational skills, and attention to detail.
Associate-level CIPD or equivalent ER experience desirable.
Experience influencing stakeholders to achieve timely, fair outcomes.
