Overview of the role

We are looking for an experienced Pharmacist to join the team and make a difference at our pharmacy in Bentley in Doncaster.

This community pharmacy is commutable from Barnsley, Scunthorpe and other surrounding towns/cities and is located on a high street a few miles from Doncaster city centre. It has a go relationship with the local GP surgery/health centre.

How our pharmacy makes a difference:

  • It dispenses 2,200 items a week,
  • It provides a wide range of services including NMS, BP, ABPM, Pharmacy first, FLU & covid, contraception.
  • It provides services to 14 substance misuse patients.
  • It dispenses 85 community blisters.

This branch has great potential to grow items and services. It has a great team with a great work ethics.

The team consists of a full time team leader who's a qualified dispenser, 1 qualified dispenser, 2 trainees dispensers 1 of those due to sit her exam in the next 2 months. Also support form the relief team

This pharmacy is open hours are 08.15-18.00 Monday to Friday Saturday 9.00- 13.00 and the contracted hours are 5 days a week = 48.75 or 4 days a week =39 To include 1 in 4 Saturdays 9am-1pm

The patient base consists of a mixed age group, methadone patients and high MDS trays. MDS is in the back of the dispensary.

The Ideal Candidate

The successful candidate must possess an MPharm degree or equivalent and management experience is desired but not essential. You will be required to have your GPhC registration upon your start date.

You’ll be supported in your role by an Area Operations Manager and a Regional Operations Manager, with regular structured pharmacy visits

We have invested in new technologies for our pharmacies including a new PMR system and centralised dispensing to allow you to focus on providing quality care and services to our customers.

We are focussed on mental health and wellbeing which is why we’ve put all our field managers through the Mental Health Awareness course to raise awareness and enable a greater level of support when working in our pharmacies.
