Overview of the role
Bestway Healthcare are expanding their Audit, Risk & Compliance team and are looking for an experienced Audit & Risk professional to help strengthen governance, financial controls and operational resilience across the business.
This is an excellent opportunity to play a key role in providing independent assurance across a diverse and fast-paced organisation. Working closely with senior stakeholders, you will identify risks, evaluate controls, deliver insightful audits and support the ongoing development of the organisation’s risk management framework.
This is a hybrid role and if successful you will be required to work on site 3 days a week (2 days at home). We can consider candidates local to either our Manchester or Stoke office.
Main Responsibility
- Deliver risk-based financial and operational audits across the business.
- Evaluate controls, identify areas of risk and recommend practical improvements.
- Conduct revenue assurance reviews to identify opportunities to protect income and reduce revenue leakage.
- Produce clear and concise audit reports for senior leadership audiences.
- Support the development and ongoing management of the enterprise risk framework.
- Partner with stakeholders across retail, wholesale and support functions to improve risk awareness and control effectiveness.
- Support business continuity and operational resilience activities.
- Monitor and follow up on agreed audit actions, ensuring progress is tracked and risks are appropriately escalated.
- Contribute to a culture of continuous improvement, compliance and effective risk management.
The Ideal Candidate
- Professional audit or accountancy qualification (or working towards one)
- Experience within Internal Audit, Risk Management, Assurance, Revenue Assurance or Financial Controls.
- Risk management experience advantageous .
- Excellent report writing and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with senior leaders.
- Ability to challenge constructively, influence stakeholders and drive positive outcomes.
