Overview of the role
We are seeking an experienced proactive and detail-orientated Commercial Manager to manage the Key Pharma portfolio and drive the commercial plan and success of our products. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the sales process from start to finish alongside identifying new customers, negotiating prices and managing accounts to grow our business.
This is a hybrid working role with 3 days in the office, with a mix of 2 days on client visits and working from home.
Main Responsibility
• Support strategic review of portfolio and identify growth opportunities to enhance overall profitability
• Act as a point of contact for UK customers delivering exceptional service to ensure Customer satisfaction
• Using their keen analytic skills to analyse customer purchasing behaviour – detecting opportunities to further develop key relationships
• Support Supply Chain and Operations – working closely with teams to identify any supply risks
• Reviewing Sales trends and making sure both commercial and operations teams are kept up to date on any changes in sales patterns in order to support decision making
• Analysis of sales data, market trends and market insights to optimise product and pricing strategies
• Contribute to budget planning – ensure P&L is in line with agreed budget- communicating any deviations
• Liaise with internal teams including supply chain, operations, finance and quality to ensure seamless operations
• Generate and analyse reports for internal stakeholders as required
• Maintain accurate commercial data including price lists, sales record to support informed decision making
• Support forecasting, sales tracking and performance monitoring to drive commercial success
• Managing key documents – ensuring smooth and accurate administration of key documents including invoices, agreements and all other essential paperwork
• Completing Tenders for retail customers as and when required
• Supporting in the completion of NHS Tenders
• Searching for NHS Tender opportunities
• Support with planning and execution of BD&L opportunities
• Prepare go to market strategies for new product launches
• Drive new business strategic initiatives that meet or exceed goals
Problem solving & Change:
• Self motivated and target driven
• Maintain operational and system processes and ways of working which are customer focused, efficient and complaint with policy and legislation
• KPI development and execution – contributing to portfolio performance
Key knowledge and skills required for the role:
• Degree in Business Management or relevant field
• Experience in portfolio management of generics and branded generics
• Understanding of UK generics market and Key stakeholders
• Experience in Business Development and Licensing (BDL) and commercial contracts
• Excellent communication, negotiation and organisation skills required
• Proficient in Microsoft package (Excel, PowerPoint). Prior use of Navision / SAGE beneficial.
