Local Marketing Manager

Overview of the role

We're now looking for a local marketing manager to lead the delivery of impactful local marketing activity across our pharmacy estate. Working closely with retail teams you will be developing local strategies that deliver performance & align to our retail objectives, including use of local social channels. Accountable for all the POS in stores & supporting store communications to ensure this is deliver as expected.  

Main Responsibility

  • Create & manage a POS strategy across all regions & for different store formats. 
  • Responsible for the alignment of centralised campaigns for local markets.  
  • Accountable for working alongside ROMs & AOMs to understand store opportunities.  
  • Accountable for managing the local strategies that we can support & working with marketing channel owners to deliver across the most relevant channels. 
  • Responsible for understanding the performance of local campaigns & sharing that with the teams involved.  
  • Responsible for building strong working relationships with retail teams. 
  • Responsible for organic social management; including centralised messaged being locally created & approved; across retail & wholesale.
  • Responsible for in store receipt messages & SMS messages that are sent from stores.   
  • Responsible for the planning & marketing support for any store refreshes or openings. 
  • Accountable for the management & development of the Local Marketing Assistant.

The Ideal Candidate

The successful candidate will have a proven track record of delivering strategic local marketing campaigns, either in pharmacy or retail. They will also have:

  • Experienced in brief writing & delivering instore marketing & local campaigns. 
  • Excellent collaboration skills.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to influence key business stakeholders.
  • Ideally people management experience
