Overview of the role
We're on the lookout for a Marketing Exec/Assistant to be the energy and organiser of our in-store monthly promotional campaigns and retail Point of Sale activities.
You will bring fresh ideas and be the main point of contact in the briefing and delivery of our retail marketing activity across our estate. Collaborating closely with our teams, to understand our customers’ and patients’ needs and help shape our retail marketing strategy.
We’re looking for someone who is confident, creative, self-motivated, and highly organised to be the ‘go to’ for delivery of our in-store marketing POS to over 700 of our Well pharmacies
This role is hybrid working, with 3 days in the office and 2 days working from home.
Main Responsibility
- Our point-of-sale expert!
- Manage end-to-end process and timings of monthly promotional campaigns from brief to delivery, including in-house studio, suppliers, commercial and professional teams and print delivery to over 700 pharmacies in our estate
- Creative briefing and delivery of key seasonal and event POS and ownership of creative and brand guidelines
- Using category insights to understand shopper journeys and to recommend POS formats and ideas that drive customer decisions and purchase
- Attend all meetings related to instore activity to offer advice and plan subsequent marketing related activity
- Liaison with, and recommendation to suppliers and brands on supplied content and approvals
- Supporting Digital Marketing team with creative templates so that in store and online executions are consistent
- Regular branch visits, competitor checks and retail reviews to highlight best practise and insights in POS developments
- Being the main point of contact in marketing team for all print and promotional activity that happens within our stores
- Ensure that the Campaign timing plan and Annual Marketing/Trade Plan is updated to enable consistency, prioritisation and alignment of important messages.
Problem Solving & Change:
- Must be able to juggle and manage multiple deadlines and be confident in dealing with stakeholders and other departments to ensure deadlines are hit
- Effecting planning is a must, and multi-tasking is key
- Need to be a creative thinker and clear communicator
- Ad hoc work often comes our way, so we must be agile and adaptable
Key knowledge and skills required:
- Previous instore marketing and POS experience at an assistant level or above.
- Excellent planning and organisation skills with the ability to work to deadlines set by others
- Attention to detail and ability to work under pressure to tight deadlines
- Experience of briefing and working with studio teams
- Good communication and presentation skills
- Customer focussed
