Overview of the role
The primary purpose of the National Key Accounts Manager role is managing a team of Key Account Managers and leading them to grow the key accounts portfolio, ensuring retention and growth.
The role focuses on building long term partnerships, achieving budgets and embedding a proactive, growth focused mindset across all KAMs and customer accounts.
This is a senior level, high impact management role that will come with a competitive salary/benefits package in line with experience (including a company vehicle).
Main Responsibility
Driver of Sales Growth
- Ability to manage budgets and achieve and exceed monthly and annul sales targets
- Proactive management of KAMSs to train, develop and deliver critical path to growing existing and on-boarding new Key Accounts
- Managing and driving Prospect pipeline and onboard new & manage portfolio of key accounts, maximizing sales of generic, parallel import, and OTC products.
- Develop and implement effective sales plan to achieve personal and team targets.
- Identify and capitalize on upselling, cross-selling, and new product opportunities (leveraging customer data, deals, and new offerings)
- Manage account profitability (P&L) by maximizing volume and margin.
Customer Service
- Deliver exceptional customer service to build strong relationships with new and existing accounts.
- Promote and represent the company's key brands (Lexon, Medhub, Wardles).
- Manage day-to-day operations for Lexon & Medhub key accounts, securing new business and expanding the portfolio.
- Address customer concerns promptly and professionally.
Communication & Collaboration
- Share relevant market insights with the commercial buying team.
- Provide accurate and up-to-date pricing and stock information to customers.
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure successful customer experience
The Ideal Candidate
- Demonstrate strong leadership and management capability, lead with clarity, accountability and support
- Strong understanding of the pharmacy industry, trends, and challenges face by key accounts
- Ability to quickly build rapport with senior leaders, and account holders.
- Excellent negotiation and influencing skills to overcome objections and secure deals.
- Numerate and a strong proficiency of Microsoft Office, particularly PowerPoint.
- Excellent attention to detail.
- Commitment to ethical and transparent account management.
- Valid UK Driving License
- Thrives in a fast-paced environment (adapting to new processes and changes).
- Strong team player, contributing to achieving team objectives while hitting individual targets.
- Flexible approach for internal and external meetings, including travel and potential overnight stays.
- Confidently presents to senior leadership and external stakeholders.
- Represents the company at industry functions and events.
